Flightmare!

I used to love flying. In fact when I was younger, I seriously considered joining the RAF. In 1992 I was on a flight back from Spain that hit some, "clean air turbulence", dropping the plane about 1000ft in seconds. Everything went up in the air in the cabin, including a few passengers and crew. Since then, I've been petrified of flying. Over the intervening years I have flown, quite a bit in fact but I hate every second of it. Even the thought of the flight gets me going. I sweat buckets from the minute I start the journey to the airport and that's just through my hands! It's now 7 years since I've flown and I'm about to do it again. Without meaning to sound callous, what happened to the Malaysian flight that crashed yesterday is an absolute tragedy but on a purely personal note; I could have done without it. After rummaging around the kitchen drawers, I came upon this packet of Diazepam that I was prescribed for a muscular spasm a while back. I'll try them out to see if they'll help to calm me down for the flight.
