Snowdrops in the woods

I'd been hoping for nice weather as I'd seen that Malleny Gardens wasn't too far away from the new place - and I was lucky! Windy, but sunny, so J and I headed out to have a look. It was a gorgeous place - would be lovely in summer for a picnic, but it was lovely to see the snowdrops in the woods.

We ended up going into Balerno for a coffee - and popping into the supermarket to get a few things. Wandering through the woods on the way back to the car I felt like a middle class delinquent - meandering off the path through the woods with a bottle balsamic vinegar and some basil!
