The journey begins again
Around this time two years ago I had my first training day to be a London 2012 Gamesmaker.
Today has been the first day of Clydesider training for The Commonwealth Games.
The venue was The Emirates Arena. The hosts were comedia Des Clarke and BBC presenter Hazel Irvine.
We have been introduced to the great and the good of The Games.
We have had a history lesson of The Games which I found particularly interesting.
I saw one of my athletics heros, Alan Wells, who is still in the top 10 fastest men of all time over 100 metres 30 years after he competed.
We met Clyde, a big green thistle, The Games mascot. He is also as daft as me!
We saw the uniforms that we will be wearing, and saw the official Games Tartan.
People have already asked me how it compares to London 2 years ago.
The answer is simple. There is no comparison.
London did things in its own way.
Glasgow is doing things in its own way and the experience will be brilliant because of it.
I can't wait to head North again.
