HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY! 2014

This is actually a picture of the many ribbon awards won by a friend of mine's father for his photographic entries. (he passed away a few years back) She--a creative artist in her own--strung them up and has them across the top of her window like a valance. She works at a table in front of this window so she has a daily reminder of her father. I thought it was an amazing way to preserve and display these. She likes to take and recycle all sorts of items and turn them into works of art. Her yard is full of amazing things she has created too. Although not formally recognized for her art, she is an amazing artist in my mind....perhap more so or at least just as much as those selling and displaying their art!!!
