A Different View

13.4C dull and grey with some occasional light rain. Windy, with speeds of up to 38 mph and gusts to 49 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound and I had our walk round Arbroath harbour before 9am today. The lock gate to the outer basin was open so we didn't walk round in a loop but walked round the inner basin one way and back then the other way and back. It was windy and beginning to rain. I took some pictures but the light was very flat and I wasn't happy with the results.

After lunch Maeve and I went for a walk out the country road. I took a couple of shots of the three trees which have featured in the last three posts. When we were nearly up to the church I decided to try this shot of the trees from another angle which shows how they sit on a little bank between two fields fully exposed to the wind.

I watched Ireland play Italy in the 6 nations. A very convincing win for Ireland and a very well deserved man of the match award for Brian O'Driscoll in his last appearance for Ireland on home soil.

Next up Scotland against France.
