Crocuses in Spring

A band of colourful crocuses of white, pink and yellow adorn the roadside of the village of West Barns in East Lothian. Congratulation to the local council.

I pass them every year and always forget my camera! But not this time.
A celebration by the cartoonist and writer writer Bud Neill:

A snowdrop drips
a crocus croaks
and in my little window box
a yellow daffy hings its heid:
it does indeed.

oh, daffy…
could you not but heid your hing?
Nae bother would it be to rhyme
your heiding hing
with Spring.
