The Valley, as Seen Through Ben's Tree.

I've been going through some old photos and have found a few favourites that I will progressively be adding to my journal. They are from my pre-blip days, but photos that I love for one reason or another, so I thought you all might like to see them too.

The first photo is one of Adam, who is 16 years of age now, and the photo was taken when he was nine, sitting up in the branches of a tree he always called "Ben's Tree". I asked Adam today if he would be a kind boy and climb the tree for me, so I could take another photo of him in the same position. He said no, the branches would break and he'd be injured, (he is a lot bigger now than he was back then!) and he was tired, (he played a game of rugby league last night, and his team won; today he played cricket, again his team won,) so I would have to take a photo without him. If you have a moment, I hope you will drop by the old photo though, where you will see how cute he was before he became a complaining teenager who wouldn't climb a tree for a photo!

Emma was here visiting....would she like to be in the photo, I asked? Look at her, she said, her hair was a mess, she wasn't dressed for photos, etc, etc, etc....

It looked like me and the tree would have to go it alone......

Luckily for me, the view of the valley sits behind the tree, so I did end up finding a point of interest to add to the tree. (I think I 'll go back to taking photos of birds tomorrow, they don't say no!)

It's very late now, so I'm heading off to bed, but I just wanted to thank everyone who left a comment yesterday, as I contemplated the possibility of my journal becoming boring if I didn't add enough variety in photos. It seems you all had the same basic advice, that being to add the photos to my journal that I like the best myself! It was a relief to actually have so many of you saying this, as it's the way I feel, that I need to follow my heart, and my heart usually leads me to bird photos!
