'Hello Cockie'
Today's intent was to head up into the Hills too visit William Rickets Sanctuary, but by the time we'd had a nice lie in, breakfast and a bit of house cleaning and washing it was lunch time. By the time lunch was finished and cleaned up it was almost 3pm and the sanctuary closes at 4:30pm so that idea has been put on ice until tomorrow.
We drove out to the Yarra Valley stopping at the Chocolaterie for ice creams on the way, it was a very warm day, therefore very busy at the chocolate and ice cream factory. Then we thought we would head out to Badgers Creek Weir to go for a walk through the rainforest, but the road in has been closed and says not opened until the end of March. Plan foiled once again so we headed back into Healseville and found a nice park with a playground for the kids. Bella spent ages wanting to be pushed on the swing.
We spotted a couple of these cockies way up high in the trees breaking open the spiky seed pods to eat out the centres. Wouldn't like on to hit me on the head as I walked under them though as they were quite big and heavy.
We'll try to leave early tomorrow morning to have plenty of time to get to the Sanctuary then MsMun and I have booked tickets to see Gravity at the IMAX in 3D. Really looking forward to it.
I've uploaded a few more shots from yesterday here for whoever is interested.
