Four Today!!`
My goodness, where has the time gone? Euan turned four today!!! So many pictures it was hard to choose just one but I like this one.
What a lovely day it has been for him despite missing seeing his Grandpa and Gigi. He got up in a wonderful mood and opened his cards with such enthusiasim. Each one was oohed or aahed over and discussed, then by the end he was saying "I wonder how much money is in this one" Lucky boy!
Then his presents. Excited doesn't quite cover it. He opened the ones from other people first, wanting to play everything as he opened it. He has done this since his first Christmas so it doesn't make for quick present sessions! His Daddy sent him to get his first parcel from us, a big city garage that joins to his carry along city. He loved it so much, discussing the picture in great detail before we opened it to set it up. Then came his big box of lego movie. He had chosen it so was expecting it but he was still over the moon at having got it. Age 8-14 so alot of assistance required. Daddy and Euan sat for an hour or so together and only completed bag one of five!
Got washed then out for Euans choice of lunch (McDonalds!) then back in time for nursery. While at nursery Martin decorated the cake I had made last night as an Angry Bird. I love to bake but hate decorating so was glad that Martin volunteered to do it while we lack Aunties who are skilled in this area! It was brilliant and Euan loved it, other than being a bit dissapointed that it wasn't an angry bird watermelon rather than a cake!
We then went out for a walk and Rhona napped in the buggy and got back just before Granny and Euan arrived home. Granny had picked Euan up from nursery today and was held up leaving as Euan had taken charge of handing out the bags of buttons we had handed in to give to the other boys and girls for his birthday. He gave each person one as they left with their parents, then Granny arrived and there were still 5 to go so she let him finish dishing out rather than just making him leave enough for the children who were left. The teachers also got and a handful of children in the playground too, with Euan announcing "I am 4 today, do you want some buttons?" He is such a sweetheart. They got home and he dished out the last bags to Rhona, Mummy and Daddy and laid Grandas one out for when he arrived too.
Playtime was fun with all his new toys. Granda arrived and then we got the kids their tea of phoenix tailed prawns and prawn crackers and ordered our Indian take away. The children went up to bed at their usual time quite exhausted from their fun filled day then we enjoyed our meal.
A wonderful day but we did miss the other Grandparents. Hugs to Grandpa and Hugs and Get Well wishes to Gigi. xxxxx
