Towards Port Nelson

Took an early walk along the Nelson waterfront hoping for a colourful sky. The retaining wall fascinates me as it snakes away into the distance topped with its iron ball and spiky chain fence. This morning I had no tripod so balanced my camera on top of one of the balls, held my breath and hoped for the best. This afternoon I went and bought one of those wee tripods that will cling and wrap around things, so I may do better in future once I can stop trapping my fingers in its leg joints.
