New home.

I feel a little like I am camping tonight. Have wine and Jaffa cakes. So all good.

Arrived in Manchester today and got my keys around 1pm. My lovely Aunt came and helped me lug my stuff in and I am now pretty much unpacked. Just one case to go.

Getting things how I want them but have to say I was disgusted with the state of the apartment. The kitchen and bathrooms were all absolutely filthy dirty. I have managed to clean 2 so they are no longer disgusting. Just dirty. And I have sprayed everything again so over night the cleaning products can do their stuff.

Will be complaining to the owners tomorrow.

Despite all that - I do love the flat. Lovely and spacious. I am in my living room now with a glass of red and looking out my big stone church windows at the world outside. I have met 2 neighbours already and seem nice.

So - here is to my new life in Manchester. Raise your glass and much your Jaffa cakes.
