The Angels' Share

I spent the day on Islay with Richard Lochhead who had kindly agreed to come across and meet with farmers and fishermen as well as take part in an Independence Referendum meeting.

We went for lunch to Bruachladdich Distillery where the legendary Jim McEwan entertained us wonderfully well. Although the distillery is not presently producing whisky (they are repairing the mash tun) he took us to the warehouses where he explained so many things, including how you can find the bung in a cask in the dark.

Just as he was doing so I saw this shot. It was irresistible, like the product and the title.
