and now to the other extreme ...

A day of sunshine, of bumblebees and birdsong and smiles.

It's himself's birthday, and we spent it in the garden all day. In the polytunnel it was hot enough to need a hat. We got loads done, I even made a start on one of the flower beds. Blissful.

Special roast beef birthday dinner tonight, going out to celebrate tomorrow night.
