Derwentwater

A few days ago, after yet another photo from the lake shore, I made the following comment on blip. 'One of these days I will photograph a lake from above'. Marpaul who has many splendid Lakeland views in her journal, said she would hold me to it. It's not taken from an amazing height, but here is the view across Derwentwater from near Walla Crag. The fell just beyond the lake is Cat Bells and I would need to annotate the photo somehow to name the others.

One downside to the day out. The free parking we have enjoyed for years was today pay and display. Fortunately it wasn't busy in Keswick and we got parked on the roadside nearby.
