What a beautiful day! At last it really feels like spring.

The dog has had two walks, and I've done a load of gardening - I really got carried away! It's just so nice to feel the warmth of the sun and not have to wrap up in scarves and hats.

I took this picture during the dog's second walk, down by the river. It is much drier down there, although the water is still very, very high.

I met a lady with a four-month-old puppy. It was her 10-year-old son's dog and she had told him to choose a name extremely carefully as it would have that name for a very long time and they would have to call it out to him when they were out on walks.

Eventually her son said he had thought very carefully and had made up his mind - the dog's name is Thor!

Well, he'll be one of a kind anyway.
