The last hours of the old warehouse at Bowbridge

Having taken Kim, our visitor from Germany, to Hawkwood College the venue of her course by 8-30 this morning, we had to rush back home as I'd booked a vet appointment for Bomble at 9-10 am. As we had feared he seems to be getting arthritis in his rear leg joints and so we now have to try and dose his food every day with various medicaments, which I know will not be easy.

As we left the veterinary surgery which is quite close to home at the bottom of our road just on the other side of Bowbridge. both the river and the canal pass under the same bridge and just below it there is an old wharf which is finally being developed for housing. The old warehouse which sits a few yards back from the canal has ben falling into disrepair for decades. Today it seemed was its last.

I went home to drop off Bomble and Helena and then returned with my camera. I only had a few minutes to grab a picture as I had an important meeting of the Lansdown Hall Working|Group at 11am. It was rather sad to see another old building disappear, especially after yesterday's blip of the next lock down the canal at Wallbridge.

But at least we could discuss the renovations we hope to start in a couple of months at Lansdown Hall. We have raised £105,000 from three grant bodies and we have the same matched funds to invest. So there should be a lot of positive change to at least one old building. We can't save them all.

I blipped this building a few weeks ago, when it was still whole.
