Thursday: Stairwell

I tell you, my resolve is just ridiculous.  I went to a meeting this morning where I had a conversation along the following lines:

Other person (OP): Would you like some Earl Grey?
Me: No thanks.  Herbal tea if you have it.  I am trying to give up sugar for lent.
OP: Would you like a large slice of vanilla cake?
Me: Ooooh, yes please!

As you can see, lent is going well!

Anyway, we have had a good evening celebrating our friend's birthday.  She loved the gift which I showed you yesterday.
