Do We Actually Need to Eat Chocolate

Or is it enough just to have it?

We'd been for quite a long walk and run. He slept most of the way, but woke just as we got to the village paper shop. He wasn't at all happy, maybe because he had missed the scenery on this lovely spring day. But more likely because he missed his mum.

Anyway, I plonked the treats (they used to call them that, remember) into his lap and instantly he was calm and happy again. He held them all the way home -- another 30 mins) -- and didn't once ask for them to be opened.

I reckon having them simply made him feel important, and that was enough.
