Getting there...

The kitchen fitters were in again today, so when I got home we had a worktop in, the fridge, double oven and two larder cupboards installed along with the induction hob and the sink (although they need wired and plumbed in respectively). all the carcasses are in now too so its really starting to take shape. We're going from about 3 metres of useable worktop space to well over six even allowing for the hob and the sink.

Unfortunately the guy who did the plans at Homebase miscalculated the worktop amount so we have to wait for one more section of worktop to arrive. As a result while it will be largely functional tomorrow it won't actually be finished until Wednesday of next week, and even then we'll need to put the floor down.

As we were sick of takeaways we went for a nice dinner tonight at Nonna's Kitchen. We'd been meaning to try it for ages and weren't disappointed, the food was fantastic. Simple Italian food but just really fresh and tasty, just what I was craving. I'll be back for sure and couldn't recommend it highly enough.
