"Meet you at the lions"

This is one of the lions that flank the main entrance to the Council House on Old Market Square' Nottingham, a traditional spot for couples to meet up and for 'dates' to be kept, hence the title.
Rather a fine beast don't you think? A lot of relationships and families started out here.
