Hey there Heron

This day seemed to revolve around the river Dee, it began with watching the rowing races, my uni won! even though the first and only race I witnessed was an epic loss... I ran off to climb at cove bay before I could watch the rest. Later on in the day we went to go do some more slack lining, Beth joined in this time and seemed to take to it much faster than I did :P

Finally as the light was fading I wandered back to my flat, taking the route that runs along the Dee, the tide was much lower this time so I hoped over the fence to explore the (slippery) pebbled banks. I happened across this shy creature, managed to capture this image before I startled it off. Such an elegant take off.
