you smile at me, i hold you really tight

A really nice day today. Was great to be with my class and be able to fix some of the issues we've had recently with behaviour and stuff. Makes everyone's life so much easier when we're all feeling positive. In the afternoon we went to the Albany to watch an adaptation of Macbeth - really excellent to see young kids so engaged in Shakespeare. Slt meeting after school which was a lot less painful than I expected, followed by some marking and dinner with Eddie. We went to a Japanese in soho which was great, followed by some delicious cakes in patisserie Valerie. I kinda feel like maybe I should stop eating quite as much food as I am at the moment. Oh well, who cares anyway?!

Two nice things from today...one of the neediest and naughtiest kids in my class was very sweet to me today and requested that I sit next to her while she had her lunch. She then squeezed my shoulders as she walked past me. Strange but oddly affectionate. Other nice thing was my text conversation with Jo during my journey home on the train. It was nice :)
