" WATCHING THE GARDEN GROW "
It has been a gloriously sunny day and certainly not cold. In fact for the first time, went out without a coat!
Went outside at lunchtime with Phoebe and was amazed to see a Wood Anemone in flower next to a lovely Euphorbia with a red flower spike. Naturally took photos but it was this delightful Pulmonaria that caught my eye as it waved at me from the box hedge. In other words I didn't plant it, like a lot of the smaller plants in my garden. In fact I love this plant for its unusual ability to have so many colours in one plant but it does tend to take over.
If you look closely the leaves are slightly speckled with white and is covered with very fine hairs. I used to plant them down at the station garden as I noticed that the rabbits didn't like the taste!
Work was still frustrating. Although I now have a functioning computer, the printer has refused to co-operate so once again I haven't been able to do my job properly.
Managed to do the week's shopping and whilst in Town, Phoebe and I did some very brisk walking. Then after shopping, ran around French Weir and noticed the water had gone down in the river quite a lot.
They are now talking about the compensation to be paid out to the farmers who have lost so much in the floods. Whatever they pay, it could never be enough to cover the loss of so much.
Nearly Thursday again. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun:)) Hope your Wednesday has been tickety boo. That Redflash survived another long train journey, Dave in France succeeded in his garden planting and Angel Eyes coaxed Luna and Flash on the walk with Sultan. Oh and I wont forget Countryfile who very kindly gave me a favourite on my Bullfinch.
Thankyou for being a part of my daily life and I apologise I haven't mentioned you all. Sending monster hugs full of love to you all. xx
