Wonder

One of my expedition partners and environmental geoscientist, Oliver Forster, star gazing at the Milky Way Galaxy from the remote village of Domkhar Gongma in Ladakh, India. We spent a night in the village before making a long, arduous trek up the arid valley in search of a dissipating glacier that has supplied much of the area with clean drinking water for hundreds of years. Part of our research project on mapping shrinking glaciers in the Karakoram mountain ranges.
