Next door's camellia that happily shows over the wall between us. It's been there very many years and the flowers don't last very long, but it's a welcome show of colour at this time of year.

E's been nagging me to photograph it and we had a suitable sunny morning this morning.

I very much associate it with Helen who was the resident next door when we moved in along with Arthur, one of the last veterans of WW1. They weren't husband and wife, but just two friends who found it practical to live together. A bit like students, but at a slower pace.
