Set off at a brisk pace to Sweden Bridge. Overtook a couple who asked if I was going to Dove Crag. Replied that I was just going to the bridge, up the other side to the ridge and back to Ambleside. "Very wise" said the lady.

Most of my photos today seemed to have grey sky in but the bracken covered fell in the foreground adds a bit of colour. Red Screes is behind, just in the cloud.

Home for lunch. Popped in to see a friend this afternoon. Came away with a home made fresh cream meringue roulade. Lovely, but loads more calories than I had walked off earlier!
