Two Heads Are Better Than One
It was beautifully springlike today. I always scan the donkey field for my horsey friends when I take Jazzy dog for a run round. They were standing head to head against the light. I noticed that the light grey one was hung like a horse. :) I wondered if it was anything to do with Spring. It seems not, evidently geldings let it all hang out when they are feeling relaxed.
I shot my first butterfly of 2014 today, a beautiful peacock. Lots of other bugs were cavorting on the south-facing wall including jumping and wolf spiders, ants, beetles, weevils and flies. I'm so pleased that the bugs are back. :)
I spotted a little wren amongst the bonfire ash on Ash Wednesday and togged some goldfinches on burdock.
