Arctic Day 3: 69° 43' 36'' N >> 70° 22' 14'' N

Kirkenes visit today, with light snow drifting onto the town of just 3,300 people. Situated just 10km from the Russian border, on the Barents Sea. We even saw big chunks of sheet ice floating past!

We then headed to tiny Vardø - Norway’s easternmost town on the island of Vardøya. It has an amazing fortress built in 1737, but was most memorable for the incredible blue dusk light – absolutely stunning.
