Sir John Paulet

Sir John Paulet is modelling full armour, with his surcoat emblazoned with the De la Mare lions. Round his neck is the Lancastrian collar of SS (esses). His pudding basin haircut isn't exactly fashionable these days, and his nose looks rather the worse for wear, but he's getting on a bit - he died in 1437. His wife Constance is a rather more attractive figure (despite a similar nose) but her photo wasn't as sharp.

These effigies are in Nunney Church.
