#40acts

andy and i, along with some of our young people, are taking part in #40acts this lent. i don't generally do anything for lent but this year i am both giving up something (checking my phone in bed) and giving out by doing #40acts. my no phone resolution meant that i had 30 mins of uninterrupted reading in bed, a 20 min run, a change of bed linen and some laundry...all in the time that i would still be in bed. that's a bit embarrassing to admit. today's #40acts challenge was to start a journal of thankfulness!

i had even more reason to be thankful when i arrived home and found an early birthday present - a letter from zambia. and some flowers from my neighbour!
