Ignition

Wow, I'm really blown away by the response from you guys for my first macro shot yesterday. All the comments and stars are really appreciated.

Today is another macro shot. I seem to remember seeing an article in a photography magazine recently about trying to capture the point ignition on a match, and I think Draco tried something similar a week or so ago. I decided to have a little play with some matches and my macro to see what I could create.

I found it tricky timing the shutter with the point of ignition and also getting a conflagulation

I can't remember how the article got the ignition without seeing the striking match, but I really like this one as you can see the head of the match and the sparks flying up into the flame.
