Spring colour at Harlow Carr
A day out at Harlow Carr Royal Horticultural Gardens Nr Harrogate with my friend in between her trips to Canada to see her grandson!
The flowers were pretty much the same as here with colour from mainly crocus, iris, snowdrops and hellebores. On work two colourful shrubs and still lots of colour from the bares stemmed dog woods. Quite a lot of winter flowering heather in the mix but the daffodils were now further on than ours, so not quite there yet.
It was nice to see it looking quite bare though with the beds all cleared and ready for the coming seasons.
One interesting addition were some scarecrows, perhaps done over half term. I particularly liked Miss Fatty Betty and Wiggo!
We had lunch at Betty's of course and finished the afternoon with tea and a (shared) Fat Rascal!
