World Book Day

World Book Day is actually tomorrow but the Deputy Head Mr Herman isn't in School tomorrow and wanted to dress up as Elmer the Elephant so it was brought forward!

They were asked to dress up as a character from a book and bring in the book and choose their favourite page, Gulliver chose My Neighbor Totoro!

I ended up taking the press photo of Mr Herman and 4 children as I was the person with the best camera on the spot!

It was wonderful to see the whole school dressed up and watch them all parade around the playground, I felt very emotional too as it is Gulliver's last year of Primary School, even shed a tear looking at all the very young children, they looked so sweet and so small.

I had a swim, managed 8 lengths of breast stroke (I had a shoulder operation in November) and did quite a few more just legs, nice steam afterwards and coffee with Jo.
