Big hole in Vazon sea wall

I cycled to Vazon to see how the repairs were coming on to the massive hole, over 25 feet wide, which strong waves and wind caused the day before yesterday. One digger was dropping huge boulders on to the beach and another digger on the beach was picking them up and placing them in the gap.
It was calm, sunny, and not a breath of wind on the beach. The beach is strewn with stones, and rotten old tree trunks are also visible.
When I got home, it was still warm so I looked at the tortoises and they were awake! Spring has arrived!
