Cold colour

As I drove back from Kirkwall across the Barriers I was struck by the colour of the sea... a vibrant turquoise greenish blue. So pulled over to try and catch it on camera.

Didn't quite work though. Not sure if it was something to do with being at a lower angle down on the shore so the light through the water was behaving differently or if the moment had just passed but it just didn't quite look the same. I didn't have time to wander to different spots to see if that made a difference and even if I had I'm not sure I would have as it was damnable cold out there and the wind was nearly slicing my fingers off.
