Camphor Laurel Tree

Camphor Laurel, an evergreen was commercially grown in China and Japan for its oil and timber in the 17th century.
First introduced to Australia (Sydney and Brisbane Botanical Gardens) in 1844 as an ornamental tree, but has been declared an noxious "weed" especially in Northern NSW as it has adapted too well in the Australian climate.

Whilst walking through this park, I saw a great number of birds and animals life seeking sanctuary in the tree's canopy.
