Rain may be Nigh....

The poor people of Christchurch and surrounding areas well to the south of Marlborough have had a horrendous time over the last couple of days. They have had a one in a hundred year storm with gales, torrential rain and flooding, road slips and power cuts. We here in Marlborough really feel for them. Some of the scenes on the TV news are heart-breaking especially when very elderly folk are badly affected.
Meanwhile here in Marlborough we have had very little rain but it has been unseasonably cold. I even had to wear slippers today.
I was out with the dogs soon after dawn and was able to capture some images in the little sunshine we enjoyed before the day clouded over. In this image clouds are appearing from the sou-west but they held virtually no rain. Alas, we have no control over the weather.
