Holiday mood

It’s beginning to sink in that we’re on holiday, barricades up and hopefully no work will dribble through.

Today we visited two very hard-working ladies who are investing oodles of their very hard-earned cash in building a palatial home in the hills. The setting is superb, with unrivalled views on every side, and the new house, now well advanced, will be also – as are the pool and pool house (the setting for the lunch), the outhouses and the landscaping. On top of that, they had gathered together most of our favourite people and served up a delicious barbecue, so it was a wonderful afternoon. They’re coming over to our place next Saturday, the contrast will be rather dramatic. Luckily they’re really nice people…...
