A little help from my friend...

We could all, at times, use a little help from a friend.

A boost when you are down. A kind word or smile.

I called a friend today, she is battling cancer. Multiple chemo treatments and the battle is not over. A bright spot was when she laughed and told me that her hair has come back in curly, and she hates it. She announced "I am going to get it cut today, my first hair cut (since the battle began)". She is looking forward to Thanksgiving Day with family. Each day that passes, she appreciates and finds something to laugh about.

I am so inadequate, I didn't quite know what to say. I listen. I can't fathom what her and her family are going through. But I can offer a kind word and a prayer.

We could all use a little LOVE from a friend.
