Sumptuous Scallops!

Just at the foot of Glen Coe Valley, in a small Village called North Ballachulish, we did not expect to find one of Scotlands finest seafood restaurants just up the road.
The "Lochleven Seafood Cafe" is a real gem that appears to be in the middle of no where, but after just a 10 minute taxi drive up the Loch, on a recommendation we had arrived, and boy what a find!
The very basic cafe serves up the yummiest, freshest seafood you can ever dream of having. We had mussels steamed in cider, a roast autumn vegetable salad, the most divine baked bread with olive oil and to top it all, these Scallops baked in the shell with a pesto of parsley, garlic and almonds!!!!
Oh, it was so good that we only thought to photograph the dish once it was nearly all devoured. One taste sensation I will not forget, and all that, plus a bottle of beautiful rioja for £20 per head. GO
