Bluntted...

The commute path got closed last week for what looks like preparatory vegetation pruning before the next stage of the cycle path upgrade. It's a bit of a shame the trees had to come down but if I remember right, there are plenty more being planted to replace them.

It does however leave a load of really lovely looking tree stumps with freshly cut wood where you can see the all the grains and rings. Make me wish I had an easily transportable chainsaw to take a slice.

I had to content myself with a half log and a wedge. Might try some of this that Insto tuned me into.
