Charging Curate

The market place saw the annual pancake races with a good turn out of spectators and 15 teams of competitors. Some were very very competitive while others had put most of their efforts into the fancy dress. There were prizes for the best costume and the fastest team as well as a special prize for the person deemed to have been the best at tossing their pancake. Somehow it seems right the "Tosser of the Year" was won by a solicitor! After the races there is a rather strange local tradition where the mayor throws pancakes at people from the town hall balcony!
