The King of Gastronomy

Today was the grand finale of the Nice Carnival. This year's theme was 'The King of Gastronomy', an appropriate French choice!
So here is the King of Gastronomy in its full splendor. It will be burnt on the beach later tonight during the closing firework.
The carnival floats were stupendous and politically grotesque in the spirit of the carnival. So, the King was accompanied by the Queen of the Vineyards, while their gingerbread son was following. Chirac, Sarkozy and Hollande were seen in the parade, a huge Angela Merkel wearing an apron on her Bavarian costume was gleaming to the crowd. Paul Bocuse was beating the rhythm of Nouvelle Cuisine, while Coluche fed the poors in Paradise under the watchful eye of Mother Teresa and Abbé Pierre! Putin was feeding a gargantuan Gérard Depardieu.
