Two Tones

10.8C with bright spells and cloudier spells. Breezy.

Apothecary7's day off. We had our usual visit to M&S's cafe at City Quay then topped up the groceries. On the way home we stopped off at a garden centre and I bought 2nd early and maincrop seed potatoes.

We took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk down to the beach before lunch. No apparent damage from yesterday's high tide although the owner of the end cottage was shovelling sand up against the base of his fence at the seaward end of his garden. He never seems to tire of his battle with the tides.

I had a sit down on a seat looking over the sea with Maeve standing beside me while Apothecary7 took some pictures. The tide was further out and lots of dark rocks were showing. My camera never left its bag.

Two little pottery pieces, each with a different tone of blue, have come to the rescue.
