Superb Starling

We are off on safari!! Drove the 200 or so kilometers from Mwanza to the west gate of the Serengeti today, where we are staying overnight ready for a dawn raid on the part first thing tomorrow.

The hotel we are staying in is quite nice, especially by Tanzanian standards, but nowhere near as nice as the Speke Bay Lodge, where we went for a beer and to watch the sun go down. Unfortunately $200 per person is out of my budget, but maybe, some day, if I save up. It is a beautiful place, built right on the lake, looking over the water to mountains in the distance. And surrounded by these - imagine being called Superb. Starlings will never look the same to me again.
