Yellow-bottomed sheep
Yes if you look closely, you can see this sheep has a fashionably decorated derriere. Not the best of shots, but I had to take this through the living room window as I didn't feel like going out for a walk today. Actually the yellow bottom is a sign that the tup (that's the male sheep for any non-farmers out there!) in the field has done his job with this particular ewe. The tup has been fitted with a harness, complete with a marker that colours the rear-end of each ewe he mates with, so the farmer (my brother, in this case) can see how well each tup 'performs' and which sheep are likely to be having lambs some 5 months from now.
Every day feels like 5 months to me right now!
Grace still not 100% and I also succumbed to the same bug for a couple of days, but have my appetite back again today and am feeling more or less better. Had hospital appointment yesterday and it was very positive: Baby is ready to go...now just a matter of waiting for the real action to begin. So it's hot curry for me tonight in an attempt to kick start things.
