From the dark corner.....

It never rains but it pours....

Well whoever said that was right, unfortunately. It was a beautiful, but very frosty start to the day and passing the Land Rover plant and the steps down to the canal I started daydreaming and thought of previous summer days and strolls by the still waters. I miss things like that at this time of the year but the early morning sunshine was a lovely reminder.

I got my tea and sat down in a very quiet zombie-free McDonalds and raced out of there a little later than normal to go up to the council house where Eric was only just unlocking my side door. There then followed happy times terminating a few users who had recently left the council. There is nothing more satisfying than murder on a Monday! There were quite a few new people to set up today too.

The morning flew aided with me having a few trips to the food machines even after my fried egg toastie first thing. I'm ashamed to say that I did eat a load of rubbish today and am hopelessly addicted to biscuit and raisin Yorkie bars. Some people might remember the old adverts for Yorkie bars from years ago with the hunky trucker eating his chocolate bars while driving across the country. Well I wouldn't leave any for him. Hmmmm. Mind you.....

Anyway, no surprises here, I wasn't very hungry at lunchtime and told Paul I wasn't bothering to go out and he could borrow my umbrella as it was by then raining heavily outside. I glanced at the empty space where I usually stand it and horror of horrors! I realised I had left it in McDonalds 6 hours earlier. I did swear a bit. It's not just any old umbrella! It's a Storm one, made out of fibreglass so extra light and extra strong. I'd had it nearly ten years and it didn't even blow inside out in Ayr or Edinburgh! Oh, I rang McDonalds up but my beloved brolly was nowhere to be found. I just hope the swine who took it gets run over by a bus and is also impaled by my lovely umbrella. I said so in the office too which just caused everyone to collapse laughing. HUMPH!

Oh well. I spent what was left of the day glowering at my screen but have ordered a new Storm umbrella from Amazon to help kill my pain.

Looking even larger!

Track? Dedicated to my loss, I feel like some Rolling Stones today - Miss You
