Jasper avoids my eye

Border collies, or at least borderline collies, are very conscious of where they look. He's just been for a walk and all he wants to do is sleep. Hence he's doing his best to ignore me.

It was an arduous hike too, since the snow may have gone from the roads but is very much in evidence on the trails on Channel Ridge. Along with fallen trees and branches. These snow storms can be quite destructive even here in the relatively mild climate of British Columbia. I can't imagine what it's been like for folks on the Eastern side of the continent.
