Apogee
The most distant or highest point of something (DDW’s March Challenge). The word apogee seems to be derived from astrology relating to the furthest distance that a celestial body gets from the body that it is orbiting.
As that latter definition presents more than just a couple of challenges for a blip, I have adopted the former and provided this blip of one of the highest structures around these parts as Bedfordshire is not exactly a mountainous county.
This is the Sandy Heath TV Transmitter and I have blipped it before but thought it looked effective as it towered beyond the trees. The silhouette of the trees makes it a bit dark and creepy. This was actually shot in colour but it was so dull when I took the shot that it gives the impression that it is a monochrome shot.
