sunburst

The morning started misty but that soon cleared to leave a wonderful blue sky. I spent a few hours doing necessary paperwork. A bit like shopping,  it has to take priority occasionally.

After lunch I decided to go to Grasmere. Passing through Rydal, I noticed all the roadside car parking spaces were full. There was even an ice cream van.

Got parked ok at Grasmere and took the path towards Silver How. These trees are in the grounds of Allan Bank (NT).  I noticed the pattern of light and shadows first, then moved slightly to separate two trees when this sunburst appeared between them.
